The United States is the world’s leading consumer of air condition. More than 87% of all American homes have either a central air conditioning system, or a window unit. More people in the U.S. have an air conditioner than they have a dishwasher, garage, or even dining room. This is the reason that the U.S. uses more energy for air conditioning than does the entire rest of the world.
Hiring a heating cooling contractor is an every day occurrence in the United States, but that isn’t the case throughout the world. Air condition has become increasingly popular in the U.S. since its introduction in the early 20th century. Plus, other parts of the world do not suffer from the same climate that parts of the U.S., such as Miami and Houston, have to suffer through.
However, this doesn’t mean the rest of the world isn’t catching up. Countries such as China and India are increasingly upping their demands for air condition inside of their homes and offices. Although it’s still some time away, there is going to be a point in the near future when the rest of the world is using as much air condition as the United States currently does.
